Common questions

My computer won’t connect.

Keep the selected service running in OneLLM Connect. Both devices must be able to reach the selected LAN or Tailscale address. Restart the service, then scan its new code. Do not use localhost on your phone: that points to the phone itself.

The model reports a privacy or credential error.

A connected server and an available model are separate things. Choose another configured model or check that provider’s credentials on your computer. OneLLM does not change a provider’s privacy settings for you.

Can I use the 35B model on my device?

The optional 35B MoE package uses expert streaming, with about 3B active parameters. It needs about 16.6 GB of storage; 12 GB RAM is recommended. Start with a smaller model if your device has less memory. Downloads and generation speed vary by hardware.

Can I chat offline?

Yes, with a compatible local model after downloading it. Local English voice transcription also runs on device. Cloud providers and remote agents require a reachable network connection.

Where are my API keys stored?

Cloud-chat API keys and saved remote-connection credentials use your device’s system keychain. Provider credentials configured through the OpenCode module are saved by OpenCode on your connected computer.

Why won’t the on-screen keyboard appear?

A connected hardware keyboard or remote device-control tool can suppress the software keyboard. Disconnect keyboard capture, then tap the input again. If it persists without a connected keyboard, send us your device and iOS version.
